CHINA

China
. Documents have been lodged the China Government for office
representation. Bytegeist Software is setting up operations to take
advantage of the current economic and scientific developments
occurring in
China
, especially the newly emerging game and graphic development markets
and the professional talent pool.
“The government of China and it’s local
companies are now moving in the direction of game publishing with
great interest in the sophistication of game architecture, but it will
still take a great deal of time before the local developer and game
publishing houses use the sophistication of game engines in their
niche markets and make a success of the games”, says
Ron Slaughter, Representation Head of Bytegeist Software office in
China.
“The only way we could ensure Bytegeist’s
position as the market leader for engine implementation and game
development in
China
was by bringing in foreign management, holding regular technology
presentations on behalf of our licences. Our technology briefing
seminars are always attended by full capacity audiences.
China
cannot get enough technology seminars. And
Beijing
, the Capital of China, is the appropriate location for such
technology seminars in the heart of the academic community. In the
new year, we look to sign a number of protocol agreements with various
State organizations and new scientific economic zones at provincial
government level for evaluation of licenses for other applications
which is the most practical and efficient way of managing and
developing our business in P.R.China”
Bytegeist offices are centrally located in the
CBD of Beijing, five minutes walk from the China World Trade Centre,
in a start of art complex, called
SOHO . The location provides for studio,
office, apartment surroundings with in house conference theatre
facilities and all modern communication facilities. Bytegeist new
office will be completed in February 2002
