Every company or team has focused areas, this expertise combined
with a strong business model is the key to excelling.
For areas outside the core specialties a company can either try to
expand into that area by growing or learning. Alternatively a faster
demonstrated approach is to harness the power of Bytegeist outsourcing
services.
We specialize in integrating seamlessly into your workflow.
-
Outsourcing allows Studios to concentrate
on the areas that the in-house team specializes in and is best at.
-
Outsourcing helps to reduce employment fluctuations and allows
better balance of development with the talent that is available.
-
Outsourcing helps reduce relearning new areas, and lets companies
specialize and thrive.
-
Outsourcing is a way of bringing in skilled extra hands quickly
without creating a long term dependency or liability.
-
Outsourcing allows a way to compare in house processes with other
external team processes; borrow from the experience of the company
that is being outsourced;
Even if your company wishes to expand into an area that Bytegeist
specializes in - why not reduce your learning curve by working with
some experts.
Why should your company spend years creating projects from the
ground up, when Bytegeist can offer a cost effective solution with an
accurate time estimate.
Regarding game development.
Each area of game development doesn’t require a developer 24x7 for the
entire duration of the game. For example the engine work often has
developers assigned to it for most of the game. Exporter work is
usually needed most at the beginning of a project. Tools and level
editors are usually required to be built in the first half of the
development cycle, and game play is usually done with the tools in the
second half. Maintenance is always occurring. It does not usually make
a lot of sense to an Exporter developer writing Exporters for the
entire life cycle of a game, it make more sense to have the exporter
taken care of quickly in the first couple of months (maximum). This is
where outsourcing comes in. In-House traditionalists may argue
that programming work doesn’t *need* to be outsourced. They would
claim that most game studios have the talent to get all the tasks
taken care of in-house. BUT, is this the most efficient and
cost-effective way of creating a game?
Bytegeist Outsourcing
may be the answer.

you with 24 hours development.

see that working from a different location does not present a problem.
We have partner offices in London U.K.

The way to start is to give us a brief email or phone call
outlining what you are roughly looking for, from this we'll ask you a
couple of questions and quickly determine the viability and whether we
are right for you.
We will then either meet in person or continue via email, chat,
video conferencing, or phone, and determine your requirements and
produce a proposal clearly specifying the cost and milestones to meet
your needs. For small projects this analysis is provided at no charge.
For large complex projects requiring a large amount of initial
research, we enter into a contract to perform the analysis. Once the
analysis is complete we can then enter into a formal contract
arrangement and produce the necessary software or services.
Although not always the case we most often work on a goal base
contract as opposed to a per hour contract. Thus allowing you to have
a clear idea of the total costs.
During the lifespan of the project we keep in communication with
you at all times and using development diaries and incremental drops
we allow you easily to monitor our progress. Upon completion of the
individual components, all software and content is integrated and
tested. After quality assurance the product is delivered.
We are happy to sign any Non Disclosure Agreement's and your
privacy and technology is completely respected.

Depending on the project and our availability we will take jobs
that range from two weeks to two year's. Typical projects go for 4 -
12 man months.
Our clients value our long term commitment for quality and support.

This is decided on a per contract basis depending on your needs. In
almost all cases all the work and Intellectual Property we do is kept
by you our client. This allows you to keep full control over what you
want to do with the code.
